I haven't updated this in a while, but I sort of feel like the only people who read this anymore are people I talk to regularly anyways. Let's see, what have I been up to? Working. And planning Abby's bachelorette party :)
Looking forward to getting out of LA for a long weekend in August, going to Jersey for Jesse's dad's b-day. And then it's Abby's wedding, yeay! Ok, back to work, hope everyone is well.

It's 12:22am and I am still in the office. I think I might end up staying here, working, overnight. I wonder if people will realize that I am wearing the same clothes today, that I had on yesterday. That basically sums up my last two weeks.

I figured it was time for an update, although really, all that I've been doing is working. So that's the update, I'm working, a lot. I have a mediation coming up next week, that's taking up a lot of time, and I really hate excell, so that doesn't help. I'm looking forward to my mini-vacay in a couple of weeks. We're going to Jersey for Passover, and then to Boston for the weekend to visit a friend of mine. I haven't seen her since her wedding, I think over a year ago, and she has a new baby boy, so I'm really excited to meet him!

There's a good new show that Jesse and I have gotten addicted to, it's called Dollhouse. Not sure why it appeals to me, but it's interesting, I recomend it. Looking forward to the weekend, sleeping, and celebrating KG's last free days as a single woman :)

I just spent over an hour looking at kitchen cabinets, counter tops, door handles, I don't even know what else we looked at. My head hurts. They are going to get back to us with quotes, that's probably going to cause an even larger headache.

In other news, I'm planning on cutting most of my hair off on Saturday. Maybe I'll chicken out, but I'm really tired of it, and while I'm not planning on going totally short, I want it above the shoulders. We'll see what happens.

On Monday we had our first official home owner's meeting, with most of our neighbors. Jesse and I were totally prepared to be bored, and waste an hour of our time, but it ended up being REALLY fun. Well, funny more than fun. I must say, we have crazy neighbors. I think I like most of them, no one struck me as super annoying or anything like that, but some of them are very high strung, and for some reason, we were so amused. We were discussing landscaping, and everyone had such strong opinions on whether we should update the building with stucco, or keep the brick, and what type of trees and plants to plant, etc. It was SO funny. Have you ever seen middle aged people worked up about stucco?? Hilarity!! And then somehow Jesse and I ended up being the new term secretary, so maybe we should pay closer attention next time, so that we don't get voted treasurer or president! Anyways, it was just really funny.

Also, we're planning on re-doing our kitchen, so we're taking down all the kitchen cabinets. If anyone needs kitchen cabinets, let me know!

So yesterday Jesse and I were at the taping of Hell's Kitchen. The experience was underwhelming. We waited for like two hours before the taping started, then we went into the "restaurant" where we waited another hour before we received bread, and we did get our appetizers, but then Gordon Elliot shut the kitchen down. It was interesting, but I don't think I'm cut out for "extras" work. The food that we did get was really good though, so that was nice. Anyways, I was sitting there last night thinking, I could be billing right now, why am I not billing right now, why are these people wasting my time. That's sort of depressing.

On the plus side, Obama's inauguration speech this morning was awesome. I'm feeling inspired. Back to work.

today on the way to work there were bagels all over the road. i thought that was odd. today i am supposed to start on my 50 hours of phone calls, on top of prepping for mediation and all the other stuff im doing at work. January is going to be busy.

Masha and David are in Australia, which seems to be going well, they are having a good time. Jesse in the mean time is replacing their carpet with floors, for which they will be eternally grateful I'm sure, since he is saving them a lot of money, and doing it all with a smile on his face (ha!)

Roxy and Boner are hanging out with everyone. My parents (my dad apparently talks to them), us, Abby, they have been to our house, my parents' place, Abby's backyard, my mom's office, etc. I think this is like an adventure for them, and hopefully at the same time they are being socialized by new people, places, etc. Like Cherie said the other day, it takes a village.

I don't know what else is new. I'm feeling sort of anxious, I think mainly b/c there's a lot going on right now, the economy is poop which always makes you nervous, and I have many big projects for which I feel ultimately responsible which causes me to stress out. And I'm having weird dreams. Like I had a dream the other day that I was at might high school reunion and for some reason I was talking to my French teacher in fluent French, which is odd considering I don't speak fluent French. Ok, I'm done babbling, back to work and listening to the MCLE lectures (I'm multitasking).

I finally understand what people have been telling me for years. As you get older, your body just starts to fall apart on you. I know it's stupid, but if I had the energy now that I did back when I was in high school, seriously, I would be a different person. It sucks that you only learn to appreciate things when it's too late to really appreciate them. Why couldn't I be smarter when I was 16?!
